Episode
Six were formed from two Harrow County School bands, The Lightnings
and The Madisons. When their first singer Andy Ross left, Ian
Gillan joined and the band went professional in April 1965 with
their first single. They
worked and recorded through until 1969 when Gillan and Glover
were offered jobs with Deep Purple.
Purple Records have issued a double CD "Cornflakes
& Crazyfoam" of rare Episode Six material covering
their entire career. There is also an illustrated discography
with the collection.
